The same, only bigger.

On this site you turned packs over.

In my books I turn whole stories over. The Federal Reserve. Edward Bernays. The incubator lie. Philip Morris.

Same exercise. Just bigger. And more uncomfortable.

I didn’t steal any secret documents. I read documents anyone is allowed to read. Case numbers. Statements of claim. Bundestag printed papers. Court rulings.

What I found in them took my picture of the world apart.

Maybe it’ll take yours apart too. Maybe not. But afterwards you’ll look differently.

Same exercise, only smaller. I wrote it all again for children — as a story. “The Village of the Topsy-Turvy World” (Das Dorf der verkehrten Welt) is about three children, a points system called the “Good Neighbour Bonus”, and words that suddenly mean the opposite. Ages 9 and up. For the little ones there are two colouring books that ask the same question, just with crayons instead of chapters.
